First Responder Training
This training provides first responders such as fire safety personnel with critical knowledge and hands-on guidance for safely managing incidents involving propane transport vehicles. This class is FREE to all participants!
Participants will learn how to identify hazards associated with a transport load, assess risks at the scene of an accident, and understanding the behavior of liquefied petroleum gas under fire and crash conditions. Emphasis is placed on recognizing potential explosion risks, establishing safety perimeters, isolating the hazard, and coordinating effectively with propane industry personnel. By the end of this training, responders will be equipped to secure the scene, protect life and property, and prevent catastrophic outcomes during propane transport emergencies.
There will be two sessions in Lexington, SC: 9AM – 11 AM and 1 PM – 3 PM. Please note: Each session covers the same material. Lunch will be provided to all participants from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
